Ever since I was a little kid, I loved to watch my mother cook. She was fine cook, making meals out of seemingly nothing at all. Nightly when we came home from work, school or whatever, she would have dinner all ready for us. It doesn’t matter if we had nothing in the pantry, she would make up something.

At the same time, I used to enjoy watching my father and his favorite hobby, photography. He had all these gadgets. Cameras, lens, bags of all types of sized. It was amazing. Once he actually let me shoot a picture. Of course, back then the cams were all film and not digital like today. But it doesn’t matter. It was very enjoyable and brings a smile to my face.

So I shouldn’t surprise anyone that I took up food photography as a hobby as well. Actually, it has become much more than a hobby. I am thinking of starting a small little size business with it. I love to cook and I love to eat. And my passion for photography just blends right in.

Since I live in California and in Orange County. I think a being an Orange County food photographer might be fun. I am not quite sure of the market involved but seeing some menus items just makes me feel I can do a much better job of taking their food pictures using my photography skills.
